Elegant Beautiful One of a Kind Lace Long Sleeve Simple A-Line Wedding Dress with Illusion Lace V-Back Details
Marie Laporte 2020 Collection
This chic new, never worn, bespoke Maria Laporte bridal gown was customized with French Chantilly silk lace long-sleeves and a silk mikado skirt with a sexy side leg slit. The lace comes directly from France, with eyelash edging on the neckline and v-back. The buttons are silk, leading to a beautiful train. The front illusion sweetheart-over-bateau neckline is a sophisticated take on a strapless gown, and the front slit can easily be sewn for a full skirt. There are also pockets.
The dress is originally the "Amedee" from Maria Laporte, but the top half was changed from a cotton lace to a silk lace, from quarter sleeves to long sleeves (which gives a more elegant feel), and from a straight lace to an eyelash lace.
The dress is elegant but has a bit of unique flair with the cut of the lace and the slit. This dress is lightweight enough to wear year-round. I fell in love with the dress because it felt like a modern-day royal gown, and so unique from the dresses I always see.
Please note: The measurements listed are from the designer size 6 and not the model (as the dress is a bit big on the model)
In an interview with Vogue France, the designer explained her inspiration for this collection:
"I was inspired by the magnificence of French castles and gardens. As a nod to Louis XIV, I adopted the emblem of the sun in the work of the embroidered tulle, but also because a bride is like the sun in her radiance and glow. The Amedee and Constance dresses have a wonderful shape, having been made with light Mikado silk. They have a great hold, and the slit of one of them and the neckline of the other make them both classic and glamorous pieces."
